that's not fog... it's pollution. (yes, it's REALLY this bad) gross. i'm training for the race and thought i could still run in it. bad idea. by morning i was throwing up and in bed all day. guess i gotta train on treadmills until we get some more snow to wash this gunk away.

snowboarder magazine calls the Canyon Inn the best cougar bar in the country. we thought it was just the safest place to go and sing our hearts out while being incognito.

making messes

so the past week has been an art making mess.
i have seven pieces in the works and a house that's a disaster.
the kid and i went downtown and scavenged through the basement of sam wellers... $200 worth of old books later which are soon to to be destroyed. the best find is a red book from 1909 that says "STAY OUT OF MY LIFE" in big letter on the cover, and another book from 1927 with a letter handwritten by the author found in an envelope on the inside! i've been a little bit manic... music blasting nights - building frames, tearing apart books, piles of old maps, tons of epoxy burning candles and of course using all my kitchen utensils for it. i'm determined to fight the winter funk this year or at least spew it's emotion across tons of canvases.
