peddle

new goal for the summer = ride my bike to work three days a week.
started today... it's amazing how many cool little details you can pass by everyday in your car and never even notice. I never knew there's an entire block by my office that smells like fresh cookies. or that 700 east is a gradual uphill for 3 miles :) or how many fun shortcuts and backroads you can take to get to my house.

maddie

Finally! Two good shots of Maddie... She's more of a tool in the morning than I am! She's comatose in the lower half of my bed in the mornings and when I get up to go to work she just huffs an annoyed little sigh and plops back down. I got these two shots this morning.

It snowed yesterday at lunch (UGH). But seeing the white blossoms in full bloom in a snowstorm was pretty cool....

say cheese

Since my last fancy camera got ran over by a jeep crossing a flooded road in Panama (not a joke) I've been weary of forking out the dough for a replacement. But finally I gave in. I just got my new Canon g10 and i've been snap happy all week! Trying to relearn all the settings. Get ready for blog photography overload soon...

fancy schmancy

Carl hosted a dinner party at my place Saturday night to welcome some friends visiting from all around... Carl's mom from Texas, Geordana from Indianapolis, Charlotte from NYC, India from New Orleans and my mom from Arizona. It's always a thrill making new friends.

Carl never ceases to amaze... go to one of his dinner parties you always go home big time inspired! We moved half my furniture into the garage, set up two big tables and spent the afternoon transforming the dining room. Carl prepared a five star, four course menu... cream of asparagus soup with a dallop of sour cream, filet mignon and jalepeno salad, glazed pork sirloin served over pears poached in wine sauce... and finished off with his signature dessert, bananas foster. Keith put the night to a great start with chocolate martinis. delicious.
What a night! Nothing beats good friends, good wine and Carl's cooking! see the photos here.

i'm getting a membership to momentum! Super stoked.
The Keithley's, Mike and Dustin and I went climbing last night for the first time this season. My arms are like jello this morning. but well worth the fun. I can't wait to get more into it... hopefully start going a couple times a week.
